my approach
goal-directed
I use a goal-directed approach to make sure that we stay on track.

Most sessions will focus on whatever feels most important to you that day and I will listen for themes that link to our overall goals. This way, our work feels targeted but we also get to talk about things that feel relevant to you in the moment.
depth approach
Sometimes we come to therapy wanting to know what to do about our challenges.

Great therapy helps us understand why we think, feel and act the way that we do by looking into our history, relationships and patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. Gaining insight at this depth can allow us to come to our own conclusions about how we can make lasting change.
emotion-focused
We all need to 'feel it to heal it'.

Whenever possible, it is important to go beyond talking about our feelings and actually feel them. Trying not to feel emotions can lead to a lot of suffering and tends of make us feel stuck over time.
action-oriented
Valued action can create lasting change.
Once we gain deep insights about ourselves and learn to freely feel our emotions, it becomes possible to take action to change our behaviour, relationships and circumstances. When we are resourced and supported, we can turn insight into action.
telehealth
'Telehealth' describes healthcare appointments that are conducted online via live video stream. We offer this for many reasons;

- Living interstate or in a regional area
- Planning around work or caring responsibilities
- Working around cold & flu symptoms
- Being in the comfort of home or having pets nearby

To join via Zoom, you will need a smart device like a phone, tablet or computer with video and audio enabled.
Medicare rebates are available for therapy sessions conducted via telehealth.

fees & rebates
Fees for a 55-minute session are $250 during business hours and $270 before and after hours.

Medicare eligible clients can access a Mental Health Care Plan, which allows up to
10 rebates of $141.85 per calendar year.
We offer reduced-cost sessions to Health Care Card holders.
However, we can only offer very limited spaces so there may be a wait time.
Please contact us if you would like to know more about this.
